On June 21, 2024, 15 legendary game changers who support people with disabilities in Colorado were honored at the SHERPA awards (lead and presented by Bob Barrows). This award recognizes stakeholders who have provided dynamic support for people navigating the steep landscape of the disability community. Several of the award recipients work within our member school districts; including Rick Frampton, Executive Director of Student Services at Lewis Palmer School District 38, Morgan Markewich and Michelle Casner from the SWAP program in Academy District 20, and our previous Executive Director, Kim Erickson, who was honored for her work with The Consortium and Disability Law Colorado. A few of our SHS Coordinators and our current Executive Director were able to attend and celebrate with these deserving honorees.
