Underscored by the disparities of COVID-19 infection in the African-American and LatinX communities, health advocacy and education – especially in the underserved communities, is increasingly more important than ever before. McLaurin is passionate about seeking methods to reduce the disparity of infection and death rates.

Throughout Mr. McLaurin’s career, he has routinely worked as a liaison between business leadership, operational/ technical staff and client entities. Having relevant experience in software and business application development roles, he has a demonstrated record of devising and implementing innovative digital strategies designed to achieve and exceed plan goals of engaging with members of communities in need. Working with a diverse set of business partners and cross-functional teams, the bulk of his career has been primarily focused on business application development for mission-based financial services and healthcare organizations. As a Certified Scrum Master and Product Owner from Scrum Alliance, Mr. McLaurin has been highly successful with managing Agile mobile development teams and is effective in his ability to influence up, down and across organizational structures. Currently, he leads a software development team, charged with the responsibility of implementing healthcare solutions that are extended on the national and state healthcare-exchange platforms. His goal is to closely align his passion of leveraging innovative digital solutions with the Consortium’s mission of advocacy.

McLaurin has obtained a Bachelor of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver and participated in an Executive Masters of Business Administration at the University of Denver. He has also obtained the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist designation from the College of Financial Planning.

Activities, hobbies and interests: As a Colorado native, Randy enjoys skiing, hiking and white water rafting. He also supports Denver-area sport teams and is a member of classic-car collector clubs.
