SHS Medicaid Coordinator

“School Medicaid is a vital pathway to empower schools to support their student’s health needs, both in and out of the classroom.”

Ms. Hart has over 10 years of experience with the Medicaid School Health Services (SHS) Program and within the school health community. She currently oversees program administration, finance, and compliance as Medicaid Coordinator for multiple education agencies on Colorado’s western slope, including Montezuma-Cortez, Archuleta, Dolores, and Durango school districts and San Juan BOCES; providing a wealth of experience for small and rural school district program management.

Marlee has an M.P.A. in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with a concentration in Public Management. She is the Southwest Regional representative for the Colorado SHS State Stakeholder Forum and a Colorado representative for the national Healthy Students Promising Futures Learning Collaborative. She currently serves as a National Alliance for Medicaid in Education (NAME) committee member, having previously served as a voting member of the NAME Board of Directors and Leadership Team, engaging stakeholders and colleagues from Local Education, State Education, and State Medicaid Agencies across the US.

Activities, hobbies and interests: tinkering in her wood shop, crocheting a new project, or reading a good book in the park.
