Board Members

Our Board is comprised of community members, parents, and representatives from school districts and BOCES. The Consortium is looking for community leaders with finance, education, and legal expertise. Board members are expected to regularly attend the four quarterly board meetings and to serve on at least one committee. The Consortium’s board members each serve a three-year term and may be eligible for re-appointment to additional terms.

Consortium Board Responsibilities

1. Determine the Consortium’s mission and purpose
2. Provide proper financial oversight
3. Ensure the Consortium has adequate resources
4. Ensure legal and ethical integrity of the Consortium
5. Ensure effective organization planning
6. Recruit and orient new Consortium Board Members and assess board performance
7. Enhance the Consortium’s public standing
8. Determine, monitor and strengthen the Consortium’s programs
9. Support the Executive Director and assess her/his/their performance
